Darth Bieber of the Day: Earlier this week, Gayle King asked James Earl Jones of Darth Vader/CNN voiceover fame to recite the lyrics to “Baby” by Justin Bieber. It took far too long for someone to run the audio over footage from Star Wars, but, happily, someone finally did.

Watch How Johnny Depp Performed ‘Rango’ – Could This Be The Future of How Animated Movies Are Made? | /Film

Most animated films bring each actor in one at a time and have them record all their dialogue acting against the director completely isolated. Gore Verbinski turned that concept on its head with Rango where he literally staged all the scenes and recorded the live performances of the actors - not only performing off each other but with props and minimal costumes as well.

Really cool approach that definitely enhanced the performances.
